Brand Identity
Peros Garment Factory:
Workwear Division
Goal: To combine a sophisticated brand identity that connects to the nostalgia and rich history of Canadian tradesmen and skilled workers, paying homage to the legacy of domestic manufacturing and innovation by carrying the torch and continuing the tradition.
The following is a series of first-draft logo designs.
Each offers a different design philosophy. Once a direction has been decided we can continue building the larger brand identity.
Design Philosophy
The workhorse shaped Canadian labour industries, especially during the 19th and early 20th centuries. They were essential for tasks like logging, farming, and construction, helping to develop infrastructure and sustain agricultural growth in the vast and often challenging Canadian landscape. Their strength and reliability symbolized resilience and were critical to the success of Canada’s early economy.
While times have changed and the past becomes increasingly unrecognizable the workhorse remains a constant. While modern machinery has largely replaced the workhorse, they still play a role in specialized tasks. Proving to be an everlasting symbol of an idealistic work ethic and honest labour.
